Styling Librarian: Giveaway Hop

Welcome to my Giveaway Hop post celebrating National Children’s Book Week. I always celebrate National Children’s Book Week in my school library. I love doing random and purposeful literature promotion activities each time whether I have mystery readers on the school intercom each morning sharing a favorite poem or excerpt from a book or having students and/or teachers put together displays of their favorite children’s books. This year, my student library advisory club will be running a Gumraiser day on Friday with promotions (gum related books) shared during the week. My club planned out what candy/gum to buy and additionally decided to have the participants decide where the money raised would be donated. I’m looking forward to this new celebration.

I thought I would give away a copy of one of my favorite new books:
Extra Yarn by Mac Barnett, Illustrated by Jon Klassen. I’ve promoted this book on this blog, additionally successfully shared numerous times with classes, had the richest discussions with children on what is magical, and also simply treasure this book personally.
Summary: With a supply of yarn that never runs out, Annabelle knits for everyone and everything in town until an evil archduke decides he wants the yarn for himself.
