In my opinion, books are the best accessory.

Styling Librarian Saturday Book Share Goodbye Stranger

”Pull up a chair, it’s a Saturday Book Share”.

Here’s to celebrating books that strike my fancy every week!

Goodbye Stranger by Rebecca Stead – Released on August 4th, 2015 – Realistic Fiction – Rebecca Stead never fails to weave an intricate story with fascinating friendships, romance, appreciation of life, and complications of breaking promises and sharing secrets. What happens when three close friends grow up, make friends with others, fall in love, and begin to break their promise that they would never fight? Can you recognize when a friend is bullying you? Forcing you to betray others? Just enjoyed every minute reading this book. Fantastic novel. Finishing this story felt like I was leaving friends behind.

Booktalk: What happens when three close friends grow up, make friends with others, fall in love, and begin to break their promise that they would never fight? What happens when a person skips school because she just can’t face a friend who she betrayed? How do you deal with a bully who is a friend? A sibling’s friend who is a bully? Read to find out and enjoy this book treasure!

Thank you to @klclark525 for alerting me about the NPR interview Rebecca Stead had about her wonderful book, here’s the link to listen too!

Goodreads Summary: “Bridge is an accident survivor who’s wondering why she’s still alive. Emily has new curves and an almost-boyfriend who wants a certain kind of picture. Tabitha sees through everybody’s games–or so she tells the world. The three girls are best friends with one rule: No fighting. Can it get them through seventh grade?
This year everything is different for Sherm Russo as he gets to know Bridge Barsamian. What does it mean to fall for a girl–as a friend?
On Valentine’s Day, an unnamed high school girl struggles with a betrayal. How long can she hide in plain sight?”

About Pull up a chair, it’s a Saturday Book Share: I’ve had many books I review that I just want to feature. Simple and easy, celebrate a new book encounter. So that’s what Saturday Book Share is about for me, celebrating books! Perhaps some days I’ll share the book with a short reading of a portion. Or perhaps other days I’ll just share a glimpse of the book.
