Styling Librarian Technology Favorites Share

I’m thrilled to share my thoughts on technology resources after taking a break for a little while.

I thought I’d share briefly two favorites today:

1. I’m thrilled that EasyBib is now on GoogleDocs as an add on. Thank you to my friend Tanja for letting me know about this. I was able to teach my students about how to create a bibliography using EasyBib and how simple life can be! I also appreciate Google Research but with EasyBib in a new document you can have it alphabatize and sort as you add more items to your bibliography. So convenient and easy.2. Grammarly App- I decided to try out Grammarly as a Google Chrome app, the free version. Sometimes it got a little annoying to see the little green spinning arrow that caught my mistakes way too easily but other times I quite appreciated being able to quickly catch and fix my mistakes. There are a few little glitches in

Sometimes it got a little annoying to see the little green spinning arrow that caught my mistakes way too easily but other times I quite appreciated being able to quickly catch and fix my mistakes. There are a few little glitches in Blogger but I’m figuring out ways around them… Think this will benefit others!

So those are two Google related technology bits I’m enjoying.

Ok. I admit it, I have two other things to share:
New app on my iPad: My good friend emailed me about a game she thought I’d like, she was terribly correct. I’m addicted… it is dangerous to play games like this… but I love it!
It is a game called Monument Valley. Gorgeous imagery, good thinking strategy challenges, and entertaining situations. Just love it. Reminds me of Escher art which I’ve always been a little obsessed with. Bringing a silent princess on one adventure after another? Sure! My son said, “Even though it is a princess, this is really cool!” I’m sure he’ll pass me soon in the game. Or my husband will pick up the iPad and pass me.
