In my opinion, books are the best accessory.

Styling Librarian #WhateverWednesday Alaska Glaciers

Today’s focus: Alaska Glaciers – It is fun to reflect on one thing each week that really catches my attention, entertains me, and is special enough I just have to share it with the world.

Here’s my Whatever Wednesday Randomness:

Glaciers receeding… I already posted in the past about a movie I thought was fantastic and informative: Chasing Ice

Now I came across changes in Alaska with glaciers.
I personally saw this through the years since this is my original home state and I visited a glacier over the years that certainly changed.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Thank you again to “Eat the Book” for the Whatever Wednesday meme: http://mretome.wordpress.com David Etkin’s words: “Whatever Wednesday — a chance to post something I’ve seen that I’m diggin’. A cool quote or poster, a picture, student work, a video—you know, WhateverEnjoy!… and consider posting your own Whatever.”

Your post reminds me of my visit to Exit Glacier in Alaska. I was just shocked at the signposts of where the end of the glacier was in different years. And how far and how fast it had receded.

Yes, it is shocking… I remember when I came back from college one summer and purposefully went back to Portage Glacier, shocking…
