The Styling Librarian

In my opinion, books are the best accessory.

Today’s focus: Empathy. It is fun to reflect on one thing each week that really catches my attention, entertains me, and is special enough I just have to share it with the world.

Here’s my Whatever Wednesday Randomness:

I really, really hope most of my wonderful readers have already heard about the sweet boy who noticed that some children were lonely at lunch and created a buddy bench for them to go sit on. What a wonderful action!

Here’s a video of him explaining the idea:

I know I’ve mentioned this book so many times but… I just love The Invisible Boy by Trudy Ludwig and Patrice Barton, perfect book to connect to this beautiful action and story.

Loved watching this RSA Shorts video about the Power of Empathy from Dr Brené Brown. This is for adults much more than for children with the content she shares in her conversation but such a well done video and a brilliant talk:

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Thank you again to “Eat the Book” for the Whatever Wednesday meme: http://mretome.wordpress.com David Etkin’s words: “Whatever Wednesday — a chance to post something I’ve seen that I’m diggin’. A cool quote or poster, a picture, student work, a video—you know, WhateverEnjoy!… and consider posting your own Whatever.”
