The Styling Librarian

In my opinion, books are the best accessory.

Styling Librarian #WhateverWednesday Artist Awe with U2

Today’s focus: Artist Awe. It is fun to reflect on one thing each week that really catches my attention, entertains me, and is special enough I just have to share it with the world.

Here’s my Whatever Wednesday Randomness:

Confession:

I am a HUGE fan of Oliver Jeffers.

I am a HUGE fan of U2.

Combine the two? Wow.

Kind of like right before winter holidays on the Michael J. Fox show, Sting showed up as a guest. My husband rolled his eyes at me when I talked on and on about “perfection” on the show. Others are huge fans of both Michael J. Fox and Sting, right? It was an awesome moment for you too, I hope!

Back to Oliver Jeffers and U2. I noticed that Oliver Jeffers posted on Facebook that he was creating a music video… through a month he revealed that he created a video for U2. What a beautiful interpretation of their song, Ordinary Love, Oliver Jeffers created! Plus, there was a beautiful honoring of Nelson Mandela throughout the video that is poignant.

So, here’s that fantastic video.

So, I’m in my happy place. Thought I’d share it. Hope you’re having a fantastic week!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Thank you again to “Eat the Book” for the Whatever Wednesday meme: http://mretome.wordpress.com David Etkin’s words: “Whatever Wednesday — a chance to post something I’ve seen that I’m diggin’. A cool quote or poster, a picture, student work, a video—you know, WhateverEnjoy!… and consider posting your own Whatever.”

If you enjoyed this post, please consider following my blog through email updates – (do so to the right of this blog post), my Facebook page, comment, or meet up with me on Twitter. I appreciate all of the support, makes my day! Honored by all the wonderful followers.

I didn’t get to watch the vid on Wednesday and it’s been floating around in my head to get back to it. Finally did this morning. Wow. Amazing to see one of my fav bands AND Jeffers’ script. I have to listen again. (kept waiting for a crayon to jump out.)

    How did you find that?

I follow Oliver Jeffers on Facebook (and Twitter). He mentioned he had a project he was working on with U2 and I was quite excited when he posted it… 🙂
