In my opinion, books are the best accessory.
Thanks to David Etkin for this Thirst Day Meme:
Quote from David: “Today is
Thursday THIRSTday.” http://mretome.wordpress.com
How I love Backseat A-B-See by Maria van Lieshout! I was heartbroken when I couldn’t find the sequel, Flight 1-2-3, at my bookstore when visiting the US… It is on an order list now. I picked up this book when visiting so that I could pass it to my Year 2 (First Grade) teachers who were having students inquire into Images in How We Express Ourselves. (Resource link included.)
Goodreads Summary: “Vroom! Vroom! From the backseat, what do you see? Whether on a cross-country road trip or a quick jaunt across town, there’s no end to what a child can see from the backseat of a car. Using familiar road signs, this striking book introduces little ones not just to the alphabet but also to the world around them. Equally perfect for transportation-obsessed children and those just learning to read, this fresh and dynamic picture book will entertain and educate at home, in the classroom, and on the go.”
Liquid for the day = water! I have a new water bottle which has a straw… I sure drink more now! I’ve been warned by a knowledgeable student that it is a leaky cup, but I sure like that I found it on sale at a golf store over here. Random happy moment.
