In my opinion, books are the best accessory.
It has been a good yet exhausting week. There was a four day weekend which finished off on Tuesday which was also my birthday. We had a lovely, peaceful weekend enjoying family time and exploring areas of Hong Kong we hadn’t been to before. Our goal is to try to do something new each week. Sometimes this is not possible because our need for down time also is important. We’ve enjoyed various food, explored Stanley- a new area with a variety of entertainment including a lovely boardwalk and rocky area, and many other activities this week. We enjoyed the tourist activities like getting a colorful beautiful family picture with our names combined on it.
Then we had three days of school which were packed with a flurry of activity. Activity that included finishing cataloging language books, sorting early chapter books for the new book display, and enjoying almost every class buzzing and borrowing books all packed within three days. It is quite fun to accommodate my student and staff needs. Now, I’m working on gathering resources for two new units.
Inspired by Grace Lin’s Book: Dumpling Days, I have dreamed about getting my own chop. I chose one that has an ox and has my name in Chinese:
Quick thought on way to work- catching a cab and wondering why people stand 30+ deep in line waiting for a free newspaper:
