In my opinion, books are the best accessory.
Hello friends, family, acquaintances, fellow readers, etc… This past week was quite the blur. It was a pretty terrible book in terms of quality reading time but I sure enjoyed technology and family time. I admit that I did not enjoy reading a book as much as I liked… when this happens, I barely read at all instead of putting the book aside, bad habit, I know. I’m looking forward to reading new things quite soon. More on my reading post soon!
So, what’s gone on this week? We had a focus on school, commuting, and our transition to having a live-in helper move in and plan out our meals, clean, adjust, etc.
I took a few videos over the past few days for the Sister-Vlog I’ve been trying to be consistent about. So, here’s the scoop, videos of school library tour, Tin Hau Market wanderings, and Ocean Park (I got to go too this time.)
I enjoyed adjusting to work. Hard at work creating book order lists, working on scheduling, library promotions, etc. Learning about using a Smart TV, library system, book collections… Plus began daily teaching too. It is never-ending, not minding though.
Here are the videos and a few pictures as well: (more info at the bottom of this post)

Library Tour to be continued next week…
Wan Chai Market: I was slightly startled by the ox tail that was just hanging there at the end of that video…
Leafy Sea Dragon: Seahorses: Aquarium: Aquarium on opposite side: Panda: Small book time mixed in with Ocean Park Visit:
I am always a bit torn when it comes to creatures not being in their natural environment. It was fascinating to experience but when I reflected back on seeing the walrus, red pandas, and other creatures pacing/swimming the same path, it just saddens me. I loved watching the sea lions and dolphins perform but was thinking about how they’d act out in the wild at the same time… Reflecting and taking it all in. It was obvious how all the creatures in the park were well loved and caretakers worked hard to keep them all healthy…
So marks our month and 1/2 experience living here in Hong Kong. Three weeks at our apartment… settling in overall. Not minding coming home to a clean home, someone friendly and happily preparing dinner, clothes washed, most ironed (wow) and put away, and having quality time with family. Even had a date night and watched a fantastic French movie, I highly recommend it– the way Hong Kong works, this movie might be out on DVD in the US already:
